EFCC Agents Storm PDP Primary Election Venue

Some officers of the Economic Financial Crime Commission have just stormed the MKO Abiola International Stadium, Abuja, the venue of the People's Democratic Party primary election.

The officers arrived the venue around 4:40pm but the purpose of their visit is unknown.


Atiku, Wike, Others Go For Broke

The People's Democratic Party, PDP, has resolved to go ahead with its presidential primary election today (Saturday).

The opposition party had earlier held an emergency meeting of its National Working Committee in a bid to examine the likelihood of rescheduling its national convention slated for today.

Some members of the party had argued that the extension of the deadline for the conclusion of party primaries across the country by INEC may have been done to favor APC.

Lagos Senator Wins APC Returning Ticket In Ogun

Lagos West Senator, Olamilekan Adeola, has won the All Progressives Congress ticket for Ogun West Senatorial district of Ogun State.

Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, polled 294 votes to defeat his main rival and incumbent Senator representing the zone, Tolu Odebiyi, who scored zero.

Adeola was announced winner of the APC Senatorial primary held at Orona Hall, Ilaro, the Headquarters of Yewa South Local Government Area of the state.

The Lagos West Senator recently relocated to the state and joined Ogun West Senate race, in a sweeping movement tagged “West2West Agenda.


Osinachi Nwachukwu's Family Announces Burial Dates

The family of gospel musician, Osinachi Nwachukwu, has fixed June 25, 2022, for her burial.

The singer, who shot into the limelight with the hit “Ekwueme“, which has been viewed 72 million times on YouTube, died in an Abuja hospital on April 8.

The 42-year-old songstress was a lead singer at the Dunamis International Gospel Centre.


Aliero Withdraws From Kebbi APC Senatorial Race

Barely hours to the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial primary election in Kebbi State, Adamu Aliero (APC-Kebbi central), has withdrawn from the senatorial race scheduled for Saturday.

This is contained in a statement personally signed by the lawmaker and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital on Saturday.
