Ractions have trailed the outcome of the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship primary election in Adamawa State after a female senator, Aishatu Binani emerges as the winner of the closely contested APC gubernatorial primary in Adamawa State.
Nigerians reacted to the news as follows.
The senator defeated six strong and highly competent contestants which include; Former Governor; Jibrilla Bindow, Former EFCC Chairman; Nuhu Ribadu, a serving Member House of Representatives; Hon. Abdulrazak Namdas, Former leader in the State House of Assembly; Hon. Wafarniyi Theman, and top businessman Mustapha Umar. Who were all dusted by the indefatigable Senator to clinch the party's gubernatorial ticket ahead of the 2023 General Elections?
The final results are thus; Wafari Theman- 21, Umar Mustapha (Otumba) - 39, Hon. Abdulrazak Namdas - 94, H.E Sen. Bindow Jibrilla - 103, Mal. Nuhu Ribadu - 288, and Sen. Aishatu Dahiru Binani - 430 respectively. The truth is that what Binani has just achieved is beyond ordinary. It is beyond a fairy tale. It is legendary and a feat stamped in the history of Northern Nigeria. As the APC flagbearer, this is the beginning of a beautiful journey to the government house for all female aspirants across Nigeria.
