In the wake of the backlash that greeted pictures of a Muslim prayer mat crested with Peter Obi's campaign poster, former Adviser to the Edo State Governor on Social Media, Jack Obinyan, has come out to air his opinion on the matter.
Recall that some days back, pictures of Muslim prayer mats which had the campaign posters of Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi crested on them, surfaced on several social media platforms.
The images were heavily criticized by several persons from opposition camps who accused Obi's supporters of denigrating the Islamic Faith, insisting that the Quran forbids the image of a human being printed on mats used for Muslim prayers.
Taking to his Twitter handle some hours ago, Jack Obinyan responded to those criticizing the pictures, arguing that nobody was asked to observe prayers with the mats in question.

He then went on to lampoon supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential flag bearer, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, accusing them of attempting to use the pictures to de-market Peter Obi along religious lines.
"This is not a Mosque, it is sponsored by OBIdients, nobody has asked anyone to use it for prayers with posters attached to it.
BATists scrambling for everything to use against a candidate they say will not even come fourth in the 2023 elections is awesome to me," he wrote.
