 One police officer has been killed and two patrol vehicles burnt following an attack on the Ohauku Divisional Headquarters of the Ebonyi State Police Command by suspected gunmen.

The incident was said to have occurred on Sunday night but the police authorities reacted on Monday.

Police Public Relations Officer, Loveth Odah confirmed the attack to Channels Television on Monday via a telephone conversation.

She said the officer died while being rushed to the hospital for medical attention after he sustained gunshot wounds.

Tension As Gunmen Attack Again

Suspected bandits have attacked the Goronyo market in Goronyo Local Government Area in the Eastern Senatorial District of Sokoto State.

Sources in the village said the assailants attacked the market in large numbers on Sunday night, shooting sporadically and killing several persons.

In their separate suits filed by the Femi Falana Chambers on October 14, they told the court that their passports were last seen in the possession of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), which has officially denied that it was in their possession.

Candidates unable to access portal as police recruitment begins

Candidates applying for the Nigeria Police Force 2020 recruitment have been unable to access the portal despite the exercise starting today (Monday).
