Reality TV Star, Cross Okonkwo has shared an unpalatable experience he had with his colleague, Angel Smith while they were still friends, outside the Big Brother House.
Angel and Cross got into a heated conversation on Tuesday’s episode of the reunion show. The conversation pivots on their relationship in and outside the Big Brother Naija house.
Angel claimed she was a better friend in the relationship than Cross. She claimed Cross wasn’t reciprocating same energy she gave to make their friendship work. She also said Cross was hiding their friendship from fans and fellow housemates, for reasons known to him.
At some point, Angel started mentioning the things she did for Cross which he never reciprocated. She said, when Cross was ill, she left her place to go and cook for him. She said when Cross ran out of money, she borrowed him some. She said when Cross was restless; she booked a spa for him. However, she said Cross didn’t reciprocate the same energy in their friendship.
In response, Cross said he did his best to match up with her energy. He however, said he would not list the things he did for her while they were in a relationship on a National television but, he asserted that he was always there for her when she needed him.
Cross added that Angel put him through a lot while they were together. He said she sometimes cuts off all communication with him without any explanation. He said she does this many times, leaving him and her loved ones frustrated after many failed attempts to reach her.
Cross said there was a time Angel cut off communication with everyone, including her family. He said everyone was worried about her that they had to carry the Police along, as they didn’t know where she was for days.
He said after many days of searching for her, she was eventually found lying unconscious on the floor. He said anything could have happened to her, if they had not found her.
“The worst that happened was when I was in Dubai. Everybody was trying to reach Angel, nobody could find her. The Police, her mother, her grandmother, her father everybody, it was like a hell of this thing. Her house-help, nobody could reach her. She ghosted.”
“A lot of things happened to her then. And when they actually found her, they found her on the floor unconscious. Do you know what could have happened to her?” –Cross narrated.
Angel clarified that she was sick at that time and she didn’t cut off communications intentionally.
