The director general of the Asiwaju Volunteers, Omoba Abiodun Ogidan recently had an encounter with the former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi. The Asiwaju Volunteers is a group dedicated to supporting the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Bola Tinubu.
Taking to his Facebook page, Omoba Ogidan said that he met Peter Obi during a flight and they had a lengthy conversation. He also took to the comment section of the post to reveal more about the conversation he had with Peter Obi.
He said that Peter Obi told him that he would be disappointed if everyone supports him because it would no longer be democracy but autocracy.
He said this after sharing Peter Obi's reaction when he told him that he's a Tinubu supporter. He said that Peter Obi appreciated his honesty and told him that people like him are needed in Nigeria.
From what was shared was shared by Omoba Ogidan, Peter Obi understands that Nigeria is a democratic nation, and it's okay if he doesn't get the support of everybody.
