The Chief Whip of the House of Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, took to his verified social media platform (Facebook) recently to react after Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was declared winner of the presidential primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Senator Orji Uzor Kalu said, "big congratulations to my friend and colleague, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who has been elected as our party’s presidential flag bearer. His winning is a win for our party."
Concerning the efforts of the Aspirants, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu said, "I think everyone did enough campaign needed to win the Primary election but it is only one candidate that will represent the party in the general election."

He congratulated the party and all Aspirants who accepted the victory "in the spirit of sportsmanship". To members of the APC, Senator Uzor Kalu said, "we owe the party an open mind and total support at this stage."
Lastly, the Chief Whip said, "I hope this win brings a deeper reflection about South East and North East in the affairs of the nation."
